Medical Assistant

Medical assistant programs are usually one or two years long. You’ll learn how to take medical histories, check vital signs, draw blood, complete basic laboratory tests, and perform electrocardiograms. Medical assistants also assist physicians during examinations and instruct patients about medication. After you complete your training, you can take an exam to become a certified medical assistant.
