Patient Care Technician
The skills you learn in a patient care technician program enable you to provide basic care to outpatients, acute care patients, and long-term patients. You’ll learn about anatomy, physiology, rehabilitation practices, mental health issues, and medical terminology. The skills you’ll acquire include running EKGs and drawing blood. Some programs offer “externships” where you can practice your skills on the job.
