Occupational Therapy
The standard requirement for an occupational therapist is a master’s degree, but there are also associate degree programs that train you to become an occupational therapy assistant. After you complete an accredited education program for either of these occupations, you take a national exam to become certified.

Occupational therapy programs include academic course, education courses, and field experience. Your coursework will cover physical, biological, and behavioral sciences. You’ll also learn the theory and skills you need to help your clients more fully participate in their personal, educational, and work lives. Since teaching is a big part of occupational therapy, you may take classes in education as well.
Employment is growing much faster than average for occupational therapy jobs. Many occupational therapists work in hospitals, schools, health practitioners’ offices, and nursing care facilities.
