Phlebotomy - Diploma

The phlebotomy diploma program provides hands-on training in collection, transportation, handling, and processing of blood specimens for analysis. The phlebotomy program also trains students to adhere to infection control and safety policies and procedures; interact with other laboratory and health care personnel; and demonstrate an understanding of laboratory requisitions and their legal implication within the work environment.

Certified phlebotomy technicians can find employment in hospitals, clinics, reference laboratories, doctor’s offices, some home health agencies, and portable insurance carriers.
