Ph.D. in Health Services/Community Health Promotion and Education

The Ph.D. in Health Services program prepares you to serve at the forefront of the design and delivery of cutting-edge health services in the private and public sectors. In the program, you will examine both the theoretical foundations of knowledge and the practical application of theory to the delivery of health care services.

The Community Health Promotion and Education specialization focuses on developing strategies that improve the health of communities and their individual members. Included in this specialization are the study of multiple issues of health and human behavior, including health and healing, health and professional behavior, health and social behavior, and health and life span issues. You may focus in the areas of community health, environmental and occupational health, school health, and worksite health, or you can design your own area of study.
