Associate Degree in Surveying

In the Associate’s degree Program students will learn basic math plane trigonometry and field methods for surveying in the horizontal and vertical planes. Board drafting and CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) skills will supplement the field classes to convey the results of field projects. In addition, students will learn about the public land surveying system, state plane coordinate systems, astronomy for surveyors and advanced surveying math calculations. Careers in surveying can include being an Instrument Man in construction surveying, boundary surveying, easement surveying, mining surveying, and Party Chief.
