Computer Aided Design (CAD) has become the most accurate and trusted method to design and model everything from basic integrated circuits, racing cars, arcade games, building structures, and architectural plans.

The Drafting Technology Associate in Specialized Technology student will acquire the skills necessary to perform drafting assignments that require the use of drafting standards, symbols and nomenclature. Students will also acquire the ability to perform calculations needed to function as a drafting technician in the realm of both manual and computer-aided drafting techniques.

Program graduates will develop entry-level skills for employment in positions including but not limited to:

  • Cost Estimators
  • Drafters
  • Engineering and Mapping Technicians
  • Architectural and Civil Drafters
  • Electrical and Electronic Drafters
  • Mechanical Drafters
  • Surveying and Mapping Technicians

This program is 21 months (days); 27 months (evenings).
