This program is designed to provide the training and skills to become an entry-level professional massage therapist.
The student will be educated in the scientific studies of Anatomy and Physiology with hands-on practice in Therapeutic Massage. Students will learn a variety of skills in the classroom in an applied clinical setting, in addition to business principles, the client/practitioner relationship and infection control. All students will receive training in CPR and First Aid. This program is designed to meet the standards set by the American Massage Therapy Association.
The graduate of this program will develop entry-level skills for employment positions that include but are not limited to Massage Therapists in health spas, fitness centers, resorts and their own private practice. Employment is also found in association with other health care professionals such as chiropractors and physical therapists.
This program is 9 months (days); 12 months (evenings).
