The College of Education and Human Development at Argosy University/Chicago recognizes the need to provide professional educators with the extensive knowledge and range of skills necessary to function effectively in their professions. Programs have been developed by the faculty members to provide working professionals with the opportunity to enhance their personal and professional competence through completion of a relevant and meaningful graduate program.
The College of Education and Human Development aims to:
1. Provide a relevant curriculum which includes the sets of competencies that prepare students to meet the demands of current practice.

The College of Education at and Human Development Argosy University/Chicago offers the following degrees:
EdS in Curriculum & Instruction (with a concentration in K-12 Education): Designed for students who wish to hone their classroom skills, become Curriculum Supervisors, or become educational leaders with instruction as their main focus.
EdS in Educational Leadership concentration is for students who are in, or wish to assume, leadership positions in K-12 and higher education settings, or for those students who work in other education or education-related settings.
The EdS in Curriculum & Instruction or Educational Leadership is scheduled to permit busy professionals to balance the demands of career, family, and school. Students will benefit from practitioner-scholar faculty, personalized classes, and convenient class schedules. Students meet the program’s requirements by completing courses in the evenings, on the weekends, and online. Students may complete up to 49% of their coursework online. The other 51% must be completed on-campus through evening and weekend classes. Each 15 week semester consists of two 7.5 week sessions. Each course in the Ed.S. program lasts for one session (7.5 weeks). Students may take one or two classes per session.
