Argosy University
Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology (A.A.S.)

If you love animals, make it a career! The field of veterinary technology is an ideal choice for motivated individuals who enjoy working with animals and wish to propel their personal interest into a rewarding career.

The veterinary technician has become an integral member of the veterinary health care team and is knowledgeable and skilled in the care of animals, laboratory testing, assisting in anesthesia and surgery, radiology, and office procedures. Under the direction of three full-time veterinarian instructors and several certified veterinary technician faculty members, students work with dogs, cats, rabbits and rodents on campus, and visit area farms to work with horses, cows, and other large animals. Students with an interest in ecology and wildlife have the opportunity to participate in specialized elective courses.

In a unique cooperative relationship with area humane societies, Argosy University offers an unusual animal adoption program to students, faculty, and staff.

As with all Argosy University programs in the College of Health Sciences, most graduates of this program who choose to work in their chosen fields will be successfully placed within six months of graduation.
