Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene (A.A.S.)

According to the U.S. Department of Labor , the dental hygiene field will continue to grow faster than average over the next decade. Dental hygienists are licensed professionals who provide a wide range of oral health services. Graduates of this intensive two-year Dental Hygiene program will be competent in oral pathology, clinical procedures, prophylactic techniques, and dental radiology. They will also be prepared to provide preventive dental services, oral health education and nutrition counseling.

Students in this Argosy University program will gain valuable work experience by serving patients in the on-campus clinic, which provides low cost dental hygiene services to students, staff, and the public.

As with all Argosy University programs in the College of Health Sciences, most graduates of this degree program who choose to work in their chosen fields will be successfully placed within six months of graduation.
