Health Information Technology - Associate

A graduate from the Health Information Technology program has acquired the skills necessary to compile, organize, analyze, evaluate, and secure information for the health care industry while encompassing the disciplines of medicine, information management, and computer technology.

The Health Information Technology associate’s degree program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Information and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Graduates of the accredited program are eligible to sit for the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) examination. This accreditation status only applies to the Louisville, KY campus.

In addition to the principle course of study, students in this program will receive a background in computers, personal development, business math and oral communications

The classes in this program can prepare you to successfully complete the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) examination.
