Norwich University’s Master of Arts in Military History is designed to provide a sophisticated understanding of the framework through which many aspects of historical events and human behavior can be understood, including economics, politics, social issues, international relations, leadership, and group dynamics. You will graduate from this program with far more than a study of American military history. Delivered through a flexible, convenient e-Learning format, the curriculum includes methodology and historiography; an examination of theoretical concepts and debates over frameworks for analyzing warfare in history, particularly with regard to American military history; non-western and non-traditional ways of war; military thought and strategy; and topical areas such as total war, race and gender in military history.
