Associate in Psychology

Psychology is the study of human behaviors and the mental processes that underlie those behaviors. The study of this field of social science provides the basis for a sound understanding of both individual and group behaviors. Electives give students the opportunity to investigate a wide variety of interests in the field: psychology in social work, clinical and/or counseling psychology, or educational psychology. Further postsecondary study in psychology increases career opportunities. Many students have saved thousands of dollars in tuition by earning their Associate degree and then continuing their education in a four-year psychology program. The curriculum offers a broad selection of courses in the social sciences as well as opportunities for field work. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate degree. The program features a broad selection of courses in the social sciences and the option to direct area of study to interests in the field. Externships are available.
