The Graphic Design program helps students who have artistic flair and an eye for aesthetics with a comprehensive and well-balanced course of study that prepares them for entry-level positions. The traditional design foundations are blended with the latest electronic technology and refined with a core liberal studies base—all of which enable graduates to become competent, efficient, professional graphic designers. Guided by professionals, students will explore the many avenues and projects they will experience in the graphics field. Through classroom lectures, videos and hands-on desktop exercises, a full spectrum of preparation is provided. Basic skills and developing an understanding of printing and production techniques complement the broad curriculum. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an Associate degree. The program features students will be properly prepared to utilize industry-specific graphic design software and developing a portfolio with direction to ensure proper presentation techniques.
