In the profession of interior design, a bachelor’s degree is often a requirement for upper management positions. The Academy’s Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design is intended to help students acquire both the practical skills required for hands-on design work and the management skills to become leaders. With the courses that make up our degree program, students can develop design concepts for interior spaces, and transform these concepts into practical, functional, and innovative environments to meet client needs. They will use architectural drafting, space planning, and computer-aided design techniques to help refine individual skills and talents. Building systems, regulations, and current business practices are taught to help prepare students for their internships and professional careers in interior design.
