The Visual Communications program is designed to prepare students for career opportunities in the commercial art, graphic design, and multimedia industries. Students can enhance basic drawing, design, and typographical skills to create professional, illustrative solutions to commercial design problems. Digital imaging, computer illustration and animation, desktop publishing, web development and prepress skills are used to refine concepts and to help develop students’ individual skills and talents. Graphic design and portfolio classes can help prepare students for their internships and professional careers in visual communications.
