The Computer Networking program prepares students with the knowledge, the technical skills, and the work habits required for entry-level positions such as a Field Service Technician, Networking Administrator or Networking Technician relative to the microcomputer field. Students will gain a well-rounded knowledge of Microcomputer Networking Operating Systems, specifically Microsoft Windows 2000 and Novell Netware. This program includes both theoretical and hands-on applications of real-world situations related to various networking topologies, such as bus, ring, star, or hybrid. Hands-on installation, service, and support of microcomputers will be covered. Duties of position may include various configurations, upgrades, and repairs of microcomputers, and hardware and software configurations in a Windows 2000 environment.
