CHI Institute Diploma - Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy

The Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy program prepares students to work as a medical assistant or phlebotomist, performing tasks such as administering injections, taking vital signs, performing EKGs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, performing basic accounting procedures and knowing the fundamentals of charting and documentation. Graduates may also perform venipuncture in an office, hospital, or laboratory situation. Prior to graduation, students are required to complete a 200-hour externship program at a local clinic, physician’s office, hospital, HMO (Health Maintenance Organization), or other allied health facility.
