Our program prepares you to be a reading-resource teacher, diagnostic reading specialist or remedial-reading specialist. As a student, you will understand the significance of and develop competencies for implementation of a total-school approach to reading instruction for all students.

Upon completion, you will play an active role in improving schools and other education settings, as well as your community and the lives of students. You will be prepared to work with children, youth and adults of varied cultural backgrounds, economic standards and ability levels.
